- LatAm Logistic Properties, in partnership with investment banking firm CAPIA, have been awarded by Lima Airport Partners (LAP) to develop the first Warehouse Logistics Park in the large New Jorge Chávez Airport City.
- This infrastructure is being designed with world standards, and will meet the growing demand for warehouses in the area.
March 6, 2023.- Callao will have a logistics park with the highest standards worldwide that ensure a highly efficient, safe and eco-friendly logistics operation. Lima Airport Partners (LAP), concessionaire of the Jorge Chávez International Airport and its strategic partner LatAm Logistic Properties, in partnership with the investment banking firm CAPIA, will develop the first logistics park in Callao, within the Jorge Chávez Airport, with a strategic location close to the port of Callao, the main roads and the most important points of consumption in the capital.
LAP’s proposal is to present, through its operator, a new logistics infrastructure that forms part of this ecosystem of new economic zones around the new terminal. The Airport City will be the perfect link with the city, where cargo and transportation areas, business centers, hotels, offices, among other businesses linked to airport and port activity in Callao will coexist.
“We are very satisfied with what will be called the “Parque Logístico Callao”, where the development of the area will be promoted and it will introduce high international design standards in the area of warehouses, creating a space suitable for handling products surrounded by green areas that will achieve great visual appeal for operators and users,” says Juan José Salmón, General Manager of Lima Airport Partners.
In a ceremony attended by representatives of ADEX, CCL and Conufdi, the works of “Parque Logístico Callao” began, this will have a warehouse infrastructure to be developed on a 20Ha plot that will allow a greater storage capacity of approximately 100 thousand square meters.
“We deliver to the market the best standard of warehouses for rent so that our clients can operate in the most efficient way, resulting in savings in operating costs and having high safety standards, that is the purpose of operating in a logistics park with warehouses. AAA”, emphasized Alvaro Chinchayán, representative of Parque Logístico Callao.
In the project proposal, 4 warehouse buildings are proposed for rent, which will be subdivided into warehouses. The access of the cargo units to the project will be through Av. Elmer Faucett. With these works, Callao and the Jorge Chávez Airport City will become the main logistic operation center in the country.
